Goutweed Tincture – Joint & Urinary Wellness Support
Goutweed (Aegopodium podagraria), also known as Ground Elder or Bishop’s Weed, is a traditional European medicinal herb with a long history of use for joint comfort, mobility, and urinary wellness.
The botanical name podagraria comes from podagra, an old medical term for gout affecting the foot. For centuries, European herbalists used this plant in preparations for gout, joint stiffness, and urinary concerns. These traditional applications are historically documented, although modern clinical research remains limited.
A member of the Apiaceae (carrot) family, goutweed has also been valued as a nutritious wild edible. Its tender young leaves were traditionally gathered in spring and enjoyed as a cooked green.
Our Vermont Pure Herbs Goutweed Tincture is carefully handcrafted to capture the botanical properties of this versatile herb.
