🌿 Comfrey Salve (Knit-Bone)

Botanical Herb: Comfrey (Symphytum officinale)

Herbs Grown on Our Farm: Comfrey

Ingredients:

Organic olive oil, local beeswax, comfrey

About This Salve

Comfrey is traditionally known as “knit-bone” for a reason. For generations, herbalists have turned to comfrey to support the body during times of bone, tissue, and connective-tissue repair.

This salve is handcrafted using organically grown comfrey from our farm, slowly infused into organic olive oil to create a deeply nourishing balm for external use.

Traditionally, comfrey salve has been applied to areas affected by:

  • Broken bones and ribs
  • Sprains and strains
  • Bruises and contusions
  • Scars and inflammation
  • Overworked joints and muscles

Comfrey is valued for its ability to support the body’s natural healing process of bones and tissues by encouraging comfort, circulation, and repair at the site of application.

External Use & Safety Information

Comfrey naturally contains compounds called pyrrolizidine alkaloids (PAs), which are primarily a concern when comfrey is taken internally and processed by the liver over extended periods of time.

Topical (external) use is different. When applied to the skin, only minimal amounts are absorbed, and comfrey has a long history of safe traditional external use in salves, oils, and poultices. For this reason, this product is intended for external use only.

• Apply to clean, intact skin

• Do not apply to deep, open, or infected wounds

• External use only
